Vehicle safety has greatly improved over the last 40 years thanks to the introduction of crash test standards that investigate the injury criteria tolerance withstood by occupants and pedestrians.   Every year thousands of people in the U.S. die from motor vehicle crashes. Trying to prevent these crashes is one part of motor vehicle safety. Here are some things you can do to be safer on the road: Make sure your vehicle is safe and in working order; Use car seats for children; Wear your seat belt; Don't speed or drive aggressively; Don't.

Within the above dimensions, the scope of the special issue welcomes high quality original research and review articles that cover a broad range of topics related to road accidents including those of cars, heavy vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists. Special Issue Information. Dear Colleagues, Road vehicle safety tackles the multidisciplinary challenges faced by the vehicle industry in the 21st century, and brings together industry and academic communities under the strategy of Vision Zero.

In the near future, most road vehicles will travel, on almost the entirety of road networks, in an automated way, which foresees a huge improvement in road safety.

Special Issue Information. Dear Colleagues, The use of ATV (Quad Bikes) and off-highway vehicles, such as Side by Side Vehicles (SSV) and Utility Terrain Vehicles (UTVs), both recreationally (ROVs) and in the workplace, continues to be a major contributor to fatal and serious injuries throughout the world.

Despite significant attention, little progress has been made in reducing these incidents or their.
